  "message": "Report conformance outcomes from Yields() through link-time seams.\n\nYields() used to ask the ledger to judge and tally a result in one call,\nand the fixture\u0027s TearDown() hooks turned the tallies into test\nproperties.  Now Yields() asks the global FailureList for the verdict (a\nread, see GetGlobalFailureList()) and reports the outcome through\nReportSuccess(), ReportFailure() or ReportSkip(); that is the one write\nthe matchers make, and the two are kept apart on purpose.  The ledger\ncounts each conformance test once, so the matcher no longer keeps track\nof earlier checks: gtest\u0027s second evaluation of a failing matcher, to\nexplain the failure, changes nothing.  A ResultListener the environment\nregisters with gtest records each test\u0027s and suite\u0027s statistics as their\nproperties when they end, so the fixture loses its TearDown() hooks and\nnothing but the environment and Yields() touches the ledger.\n\nA process-wide ledger is safe because gtest runs the tests of a binary\none after the other; a sharded run is several processes, each with its\nown environment and ledger (global_test_environment.h spells this out).\n\nVisible consequence: a result checked a second time is judged on its own\nbut never counted, instead of failing the test.
